When music meets image: “The Cover Art of Storm Thorgerson” lands at Linecheck 2025

Fifty years after the release of Wish You Were Here, the exhibition “The Cover Art of Storm Thorgerson” arrives at Linecheck Music Meeting and Festival 2025, offering festival participants a rare chance to explore the visionary world of the mind behind the most iconic album covers in rock history.   

Curated by Luigi Pedrazzi and Dan Abbot in collaboration with Fabrizio Lo Porto, the exhibition presents over twenty large-format fine art prints, each signed by Thorgerson, alongside an exclusive 35-minute video dedicated to his extraordinary collaboration with Pink Floyd. A journey through images that shaped not only the band’s identity, but the visual language of an entire generation. 

Born in 1944 in England, Thorgerson co-founded Hipgnosis, the legendary design studio that created some of the most visionary album covers for artists like Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Yes and Peter Gabriel. Hipgnosis designed also some of Pink Floyd’s most famous covers, such as The Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, The Division Bell and Wish You Were Here.

Thorgerson’s work turns music into image and imagination into emotion. His compositions invite us to see sound, to feel the invisible energy of rock through light, form and dream.
