Sophie Lamprou

Sophie Lamprou is the co-founder of Impact Hub Athens, leading activities across Greece. Her aim is to build a strong ecosystem for innovation, participation, and regeneration across both urban and rural areas, through the activation of multidisciplinary communities and bioregional weaving. As part of the global Impact Hub network, Sophie has played a key role in empowering social entrepreneurs and innovators. Prior to her work in Athens, she was involved with Impact Hub Madrid, focusing on community building, design thinking, participatory leadership, and creative problem solving. In 2016, she founded El Sistema Greece, a community music project offering free music education to young people. She concluded her involvement in 2019 to focus more deeply on the resilience and wellbeing of Greece’s peripheries. She designs programs and spaces that empower local ecosystems, foster cross-sector alliances, and support the transition of neighborhoods, villages, islands and regions toward regenerative and resilient models—always in alignment with nature.
