Frank Kimenai is a researcher & senior consultant at KEA. He is a music-sector specialist with CCI expertise in general and with a focus in sustainability and resilience who works at the intersection of culture, economy, policy and society. Trained as an ecologist with 25 years' experience, he further develops the CCIs as complex ecosystems. He is pursuing a PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam on music-ecosystem resilience, focusing on future-proofing the music sector as a complex system, with a keen interest in systemic transitions and grassroots initiatives. Frank has advised the European Commission on its music-sector policy and worked with the Federation of Music Conferences, the European Music Managers Association and the European Music Council. He also advises CCI and cultural funding institutes on innovation, international strategic development and artistic career development. A regular speaker, moderator and curator, among others at SXSW, ADE, ESNS and Reeperbahn, he runs a country radio show and is rewilding his family farmland.
