Francesca Colombo

Bio

Graduated in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and Piano from the G. Verdi Conservatory, F. Colombo has built her career as a cultural manager for leading international institutions and private entrepreneurs.

She has served on numerous boards, including the Pinacoteca di Brera and Fondazione Milano per la Scala, and has provided strategic consultancy to major cultural organizations. She was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (WEF). She has held executive roles across Italy—among them Founder of MITO SettembreMusica, Superintendent of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, General Director of the MAST Foundation in Bologna, Head of the cultural program for Expo Milano 2015—after over 13 years at Teatro alla Scala.

Since 2018 she has led BAM–Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano project at Fondazione Riccardo Catella, shaping a pioneering PPP focused on accessible culture, inclusion and community engagement. 

She is currently an Executive PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano, researching the social impact of culture.
