Rita Payés, daughter of musicians, is a standout talent from the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, known for launching stars like Andrea Motis and Èlia Bastida. Mentored by Joan Chamorro, she debuted with Imagina (2019) and gained international attention with her solo album Como la piel (2021), blending jazz with bolero, bossa nova, and classical influences.
With over 1.3 million monthly listeners, hits like “Algo contigo” and “Nunca vas a comprender” have earned tens of millions of streams. She’s performed across Spain and Latin America, selling out major venues.
Rita has collaborated with renowned artists including C. Tangana—joining him for a Goya Awards performance and his Sin Cantar ni Afinar tour—and most recently with Jon Batiste on World Music Radio. Her third studio album, due in 2024, continues to cement her reputation as one of jazz’s most promising and unique voices.
