Le Feste Antonacci are Giacomo Lecchi d’Alessandro and Leonardo Rizzi — both songwriters, composers, multi-instrumentalists, and producers. Giacomo was born in Genoa and supports Genoa (the football team). Leonardo was born in Geneva, lived in Siena, and — for reasons unknown — supports Sampdoria.They currently live in Paris, but they met a few years ago at a friend’s wedding… that ended in separation just months later. Which says a lot.
Once their artistic partnership began, they started writing their first tracks asking themselves: "Would this song play at a Biagio Antonacci party?" Eureka! The name was found — evocative of those local village or dancehall bands so dear to the duo, perfectly reflecting the carefree, unifying spirit of their live shows.
In their spare time, they become Le Feste Antonacci, an hyper/alt/indie pop duo, (un)faithful followers of the cult of the 4Bs: Battisti, Battiato, Beatles, and Bach (though, being true heretics, they also throw in prog, jazz, rock — and anything that resonates).
In their work time, they compose, produce, and arrange for French pop artists, ads, documentaries, series, and animated films for giants like HBO, Netflix, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, RAI, France Télévision, and YouTube Originals. Or maybe it’s the other way around.Because their signature sound stays the same, whether it’s for work or play:“Unconventional arrangements, emotional intensity to the max, and the usual dose of irreverence.”
Their discography is a true DIY anthem! They play, sing, record, produce, and mix every single element themselves: piano, guitar, bass, drums, synth, flute, trumpet, trombone, sax, duduk, mandolins, all kinds of percussion.
They debuted in 2018 with the EP Grandi successi (“Greatest Hits”) — “kind of like Napoleon crowning himself.”In 2019 came the single Sigarette, and in 2022, Di poche parole, an EP that flips the roles of lyrics and music in two tracks, including the now-iconic La vita fa schifo (“Life sucks”): a song that, in 2023, was hacked — no less — by Andrea Bocelli for the UK’s most prestigious and anticipated holiday commercial: the John Lewis Christmas Ad.
Also in 2023, they released Bassline, a sensorial journey through New Guinea pygmies, apocalyptic crows, and mystical visions born of a hypnotic groove.
Preceded by Uomini Nudi, P.U.L.P., and Porgi l’altra guancia, their debut album UOMINI CANI GABBIANI is set to be released on June 27, 2025 via Panico Dischi.
