Bio

Falegnameria Marri is a nine-piece independent band from Perugia, founded in 2019. Named after the family carpentry shop—turned rehearsal space and creative hub—the group has grown into a musical collective blending folk, rock, prog, and world influences into a unique, eclectic sound.

They debuted after winning Unimusic, the University of Perugia’s music contest, and soon released their first album Ritmi Bizzarri (2019). Since then, they’ve reached the finals of Sanremo Rock, toured nationally, and played major festivals such as L’Umbria che Spacca (opening for Motta and Willie Peyote), Artfall Festival (opening for Lion D), and Sunny People Festival (opening for Nobraino).

Alongside their live activity, the band collaborates on cultural and social projects, including Music Declares Climate Emergency with XR Perugia and the co-organization of Totem Fest.

On April 19, 2025, they will release their second self-produced album, Falegnameria Marri—a work that embodies their DIY spirit, rooted in tradition yet constantly evolving, with inclusivity and social justice at its core.

Falegnameria Marri are the recipients of the Linecheck Award at the Arezzo Wave 2025 Contest.
