Bio

DELICATONI is an independent music project born in the city of Vicenza. The group is made up of Antonio Bettini, Smilian Jack Cibic, Giorgio Manzardo, and Claudio Murru. Their musical style is eclectic, ranging from soft jazz ballads and dreamy psych-pop songs to ecstatic dance tracks. The project is inspired by the contrast between the beauty of their ancient neoclassical city and the digital, rationalized culture that shapes their music. The name "Delicatoni" itself suggests a paradoxical sense of exaggerated delicacy, tenderness, and overflowing warmth.

Their first EP Margherita, characterized by a warm, jazzy digital sound, was released in 2020. In 2022, they released their self-titled debut album Delicatoni. Through collaboration with talented musicians from the Vicenza area, their lo-fi sound matured into a project that is both traditional and experimental, acoustic and electronic, Italian and international. The album received unexpected attention, being named the 14th best Italian album of 2022 by Rockit magazine.

In 2023, Delicatoni released Giorno libero, a 4-track EP with sounds ranging from disco, jazz, soul, synth-pop, to classical music. The EP serves as an appendix to the previous album, while also showcasing elements that will be explored in future projects.

Since then, Delicatoni has been included in Rolling Stone’s list of emerging Italian artists of 2023.On stage, they reflect their noblest motivation for making music: creating a sense of community.

Their new album Delicatronic was released on December 20, 2024, preceded by the singles “Passo Dopo Passo” and “La Stessa Cosa Insieme” feat. Nice Elevator. This new record introduces a different live set—performed by all four members—fully electronic and focused on rhythmic and sonic experimentation within electronic and dance music.
